Skipper salutes you, Mr Robbins!

At the summer gets well underway, we wanted to take a brief moment to honor one of the true legends in the ice cream business, Irvine Robbins, who died in early May at the age of 90.

As the other half to Baskin, if there was an ice cream hall of fame, he'd surely be near the very top.

Ice Cream at the Wedding - a Marriage Made in Heaven

We are excited to share that a recent LBI bride and groom included five of our ice cream sheet cakes to be served at their wedding reception. The couple chose an eclectic assortment of flavors including a Strawberry/Chocolate cake, a Mint Chip/Vanilla cake and a Peanut Butter/Chocolate cake. With recent temperatures above 90 degrees, an ice cream cake may be the coolest dessert (both figuratively and literally) to celebrate with. Everyone at Skipper wishes the young couple love, health, and happiness ever after.
